Went to a new church today. A very friendly, very down-to-earth church. Any pastor who makes passing reference about the foolishness of the skull slapping, money grubbing faith healers on TBN get a passing grade in my book. For once, someone is rational, and thoughtful enought to explain that being filled with the holy spirit does not mean you have to flop around on the ground like a UCLA student who won't leave the library. What I learned today is that being filled with the holy spirit means your thankful. Thankful for everything given to you in life, whether it's a job, your family, or just your next breath. You should also feel a song in your heart that comes from close and constant communion with the Father. Don't be surprised if that song tries to jump out of your mouth and be heard.

This is a cute little squirrel. I like photographing cute things, like small furry animals, tree frogs, and of course...my son.

So it begins...

So I'm starting a blog, mainly to see who cares. This blog is just average joe, typing random thoughts, mainly because I am in a unique position in life right now that allows more free time, with less responsibility than I normally find myself having. That's not entirely true, I have plenty of responsibility, it's just that the free time I have right now cannot be spent doing the things I like to do, so I'm trying something new...to kill time...like your doing right now.
