Sunday
Went to a new church today. A very friendly, very down-to-earth church. Any pastor who makes passing reference about the foolishness of the skull slapping, money grubbing faith healers on TBN get a passing grade in my book. For once, someone is rational, and thoughtful enought to explain that being filled with the holy spirit does not mean you have to flop around on the ground like a UCLA student who won't leave the library. What I learned today is that being filled with the holy spirit means your thankful. Thankful for everything given to you in life, whether it's a job, your family, or just your next breath. You should also feel a song in your heart that comes from close and constant communion with the Father. Don't be surprised if that song tries to jump out of your mouth and be heard.

Hi, this is Alena.
What kind of church? Is it 4square too? how is CA so far?

It doesn't appear to be 4square, but they seem to have very similar theologies.
CA sucks. I want to go home. It's an interesting place to visit if you want to empty your wallet into the pockets of the major studios who already control every aspect of our daily media, but otherwise I'd prefer to stay away.
I'm looking forward to mountain biking and swimming in the ocean. I haven't had a chance to do either yet.
I'm sorry to hear you aren't liking CA. I hope there is something you come to love about it, just to make your time more enjoyable.
